Warfield Municipal Pool

Located halfway up the hill between Rossland and Trail, Warfield's outdoor swimming pool was built in 1967 and is opened from May to August. Recent additions have seen a children’s spray park added in 2002 and a waterslide added in 2004.

As the heart of Warfield's summertime outdoor recreation scene the 82’ by 45’ outdoor swimming pool provides six lanes for swimming along with a 20’ x 36’ diving board area.

Numerous chairs and benches line the pool and spray park area providing a relaxing environment for parents or spectators to take in the scene.

Rossland Municipal Pool

Located on Columbia Ave. in the heart of Rossland's historic downtown core. The 5 lane 10 meter outdoor pool is a great place to spend summer days in a casual yet professional facility with great views over the surrounding hills and valley.

A great place for families, the community run pool is the only outdoor society run pool in BC. Featuring a roof top "Upper Deck" reception / viewing area with stunning mountain views, the Rossland Pool is an excellent recreational pool that hosts numerous swimming lessons and courses from early June through early September.

Location: 

Situated in Rossland’s heritage downtown core the pool is located within blocks of Rossland’s accommodations, shops and restaurants. Only a ten minute drive north of the Canada/US Border, a 2.5 hour drive from Spokane International Airport (Washington State) and 3.5 hour drive from Kelowna International Airport Rossland is easily accessible from major airports in both Canada and the United States. The regional airport of Trail is a 20 minute drive east, and Castlegar airport is a 30 minute drive north.

Weather: 

As Canada's second highest elevation city at 1,023 meters Rossland receives over 2,000 hours of sunshine a year as it often sits above the clouds and valley fog. Situated in a natural alpine amphitheatre surrounded by the mountains of the Rossland range windy days are rare. Average summer temperatures are 25 C high and 11 C low.

Trail Aquatic and Leisure Centre

Built in 1996 this multimillion-dollar facility has won several awards for its design and structure. Amenities include meeting rooms, fitness centre and aquatic facilities (25m competition pool, leisure pool, slide, hot tub and steam room)
As the largest aquatic center and multi-spot facility between Kelowna and Cranbrook the Trail Aquatic and Leisure center serves as the hub of competition and recreation in the West Kootenay swimming and fitness world.

Location: 

Situated across the road from the Columbia River just across the river from the heart of downtown Trail The Trail Aquatic and Leisure Centre is part of a two square blocks recreation facility. Also on site are 3 lit tennis courts and the Butler Park baseball stadium. The entire complex is within easy walking distance of Trail’s shops and restaurants including a deluxe hotel with excellent accommodations and is 1km away from the regional hospital with over 100 medical doctors and specialists. Serviced locally by the Castlegar Airport 25 minutes drive north or the Trail Municipal Airport 15 minutes drive east Trail is also connected to the world via the Spokane International Airport ( Washington State) 2.5 hours drive south.

Weather: 

The area boasts a moderate climate with warm summers and mild winters. Summer temperatures average in the high 20's Celsius. Winter Temperatures average around freezing, 0 C or just below. Trail receives on average 1 meter or 3 feet of snow from November through April.
