As the mountain bike capital of Canada, Rossland is a two wheelers dream with 32 official trails covering over 170kms within the city limits, many trail heads an easy pedal from Rossland's historic downtown main street.

With trails for all ability levels from rolling green rated loop trails like the Wagon Road winding its way up the valley from Warfield to Rossland, through long and cruisy intermediate trails like the famed Oasis trail which drops over 3,000 vertical feet from high in the Nancy Greene Pass down to the mighty Columbia River to high speed downhill thrills on the advanced and double black rated trails with numerous stunts like Whiskey that take advantage of the natural geography to offer thrilling, adventurous rides.

Home to the world famous Seven Summits Trail rated as "Epic" by the International Mountain Bike Association which traverses the Rossland Range in truly epic fashion and hosts a major biking and trail running race each year.

As Canada’s mountain bike capital Rossland is truly a world class Mountain Bike destination.The endless trails, strong and vibrant trails society and mountain bike culture is as good a venue as any in the country for hosting mountain biking events.

Cindy Devine

Cindy is credited as a role model, elite athlete and flag bearer for the mountain bike movement in Canada. She learned to mountain bike in 1987 and by 1990 was World Champion. By 2000, Cindy had achieved two more Bronze World Downhill medals, and several American and Canadian Championships. 

Since Cindy's racing retirement in 1994, she has been coaching mountain bike camps and clinics in her home of Rossland, BC.

In 2003 Cindy was inducted into the World Mountain Bike Hall of Fame.

Location: 

With many trailheads accessible within a short pedal of downtown Rossland the 117km trail network covers the hills and mountains surrounding Rossland extending through the Rossland Range out to Nancy Greene Pass. All trailheads are located less than half an hour from Rossland’s center. Only a ten minute drive north of the Canada/US Border, a 2.5 hour drive from Spokane International Airport (Washington State) and 3.5 hour drive from Kelowna International Airport. Rossland is easily accessible from major airports in both Canada and the United States. The regional airport of Trail is a 20 minute drive north-east, and the Castlegar airport is a 30 minute drive north.

Weather: 

As Canada's second highest elevation city at 1,023 meters Rossland receives over 2,000 hours of sunshine a year as it often sits above the clouds and valley fog. Situated in a natural alpine amphitheatre surrounded by the mountains of the Rossland range windy days are rare. Average summer temperatures are 25 C high and 11 C low.
